We kick off our racing focus for the month of March at Catterick's six-race card on Tuesday

The new month begins with action from Catterick on Tuesday afternoon, with the North Yorkshire racecourse set for a six-race card.

At 1pm, the action begins with a handicap hurdle contest, while the finale is scheduled for 3.50pm.

Here are our five horses to follow.

1pm - racingtv.com Female Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (2m3½f)

JELSKI bounced back from two disappointing outings to finish second of 11 runners at Sedgefield (2m5f) back in January. He kept on well in the closing stages of that race.

James Moffatt's runner remains off the same mark for this latest effort and he should be in with a great chance of going place better.

The eight-year-old will need to carry top weight but Charlotte Jones is able to take 5lb off his back again.

LiveScore selection: Jelski

1.30pm - Racing TV Club Day Today Novices' Chase (2m3f)

There are just three runners for this novice chase and there is very little between them on paper.

Mackenberg is bidding to complete a hat-trick but this latest mark might be a step too far for him.

CORNERSTONE LAD scored at Wetherby (1m7f) on his penultimate out. He is now just 3lb higher than that mark, which puts him in with a great chance of adding to his tally over fences.

2.05pm - Easby Abbey Handicap Chase (1m7½f)

Former French raider DA VINCI HAND seems to really enjoy it around this course.

He scored over this C&D back in December, while on his latest effort, he came home the runner-up over the longer trip of 2m3f at this venue.

The seven-year-old remains open to improvement over fences.

This latest mark of 106 remains workable, while claimer Thomas Willmott is able to take 5lb off his back. It appears a good opportunity for Joanne Foster's runner.

LiveScore selection: Da Vinci Hand

3.15pm - Visit racingtv.com Handicap Chase (3m1f)

CHANTING HILL has improved in each of her three appearance this season, so the signs suggest she can go one place better than when she finished runner up over this C&D last month.

The eight-year-old remains off the same mark as her last success. She will be getting wright from the majority of her rivals here and that should make a big difference.

LiveScore selection: Chanting Hill

3.50pm - Racing Again 9th March Handicap Hurdle (3m1½f)

Rebecca Menzies' Schalke is looking for back-to-back wins
Rebecca Menzies' Schalke is looking for back-to-back wins

In what was his 10th attempt under Rules, SCHALKE finally got off the mark on his latest outing at Market Rasen (2m7f).

He travelled strongly throughout that race and then went clear of his rivals in the closing stages.

It is unlikely that his Market Rasen win will be the last of this horse's victories. Now he has some confidence, expect to see him add to his tally.

Connections are opting to put the tongue-tie on for the first time in this assignment, which is a positive. He can defy this 6lb rise in the official ratings to get his nose in front for the second consecutive race.

LiveScore selection: Schalke
