Kane opens up on Spurs exit at Bayern unveiling
Harry Kane has admitted his move to Bayern Munich from Tottenham was full of "ups and downs".
The England captain ended a summer-long saga by joining the Bundesliga champions on Saturday in a deal which could rise above £100million.
Kane said at his unveiling: "It was obivously a busy couple of days, a busy week, this is my first transfer that have been involved in, it was an up-and-down experience for sure, but I am happy to be here.
"I wish Tottenham all the best, I wish Daniel Levy all the best but my focus is here now and I am just happy we managed to do it and am looking forward to getting started."
Kane explained it was a difficult decision to leave his boyhood club, but felt the time was right.
He added: "It is always going to be a tough decision, I was at Tottenham for 19 years of my life, everyone knows the connection that club has with my heart
"I just felt like the time was right, I needed to be playing at the highest level, in the Champions League."
Kane believes he will need to adapt to playing in the Bundesliga, but hopes to hit the ground running.
He said: "I've spent my whole life in England and in the Premier League.
"I have to get used to a new league and a new team. There are some great teams in this league.
"Everyone expects Bayern to be champions, but the opponents are getting better and better.
"It's a great opportunity for me. I'm trying to adapt as soon as possible."
