Eddie Howe and Newcastle have made an unbeaten start to the Premier League season

- Fulham's last three league and cup matches have ended 1-1 in 90 minutes
- Newcastle have kept only one clean sheet in their last 11 matches in all competitions
- Recommended bet: 1-1 correct score

Fulham lost 16-15 in an epic penalty shootout at Preston in the EFL Cup third round on Tuesday but the Cottagers have proved hard to beat in the Premier League this season.

Marco Silva's men conceded a late goal to lose 1-0 in their opening fixture at Manchester United but they have responded well, beating Leicester and picking up points against Ipswich and West Ham.

The Cottagers host Newcastle on Saturday and Eddie Howe's Magpies are aiming to follow up dramatic 2-1 wins over Tottenham and Wolves in their last two games.

Team news

Striker Carlos Vinicius has been ruled out with a minor calf injury but the Cottagers have no other fitness issues.

Newcastle are missing injured defenders Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles, midfielder Lewis Miley and forward Callum Wilson.

Striker Alexander Isak should be available despite coming off with an eye injury at half-time against Wolves last weekend.

The stats

Fulham's last three league and cup matches ended 1-1 in 90 minutes.

Five of Fulham's six games this season have had under 2.5 goals.

Both teams scored in four of the Cottagers' last five Premier League home games.

Newcastle have won their last two league games by a 2-1 scoreline.

The Magpies have kept only one clean sheet in their last 11 matches in all competitions.

Eight of Newcastle's last 12 away league fixtures produced over 3.5 goals.

Prediction

Newcastle needed an 81st-minute goal from Bruno Guimaraes to earn a 1-0 win at Fulham in April and the teams could prove hard to split at Craven Cottage this weekend.

The 1-1 correct score has been a winning bet in each of Fulham's last three games, against Ipswich and West Ham in the Premier League and Preston in the EFL Cup.

That scoreline appeals again given Newcastle's shortage of clean sheets and Fulham's solid home record.

The Cottagers failed to score in last season's home and away defeats to Newcastle but they have pepped up their attack with the signings of Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson from Arsenal and were unfortunate not to take a point at Old Trafford.

Newcastle rode their luck in the 2-1 home win over Spurs and scored twice in the last 15 minutes to secure a 2-1 victory at Wolves last weekend.

They had drawn 1-1 with Bournemouth in their first away fixture of the campaign and are still hard to trust on the road, having won only six of their 19 games on their travels last season.
