Friday's Euro 2024 qualifiers feature 12 fixtures, including Northern Ireland's tough trip to Denmark and Wales' important home match against Armenia.

Finland's bid to qualify for a second successive Euros continues with a home match against Slovenia and Euro 2020 quarter-finalists Ukraine take on North Macedonia in Skopje.

Friday, 5pm

Finland had a taste of major tournament football at Euro 2020 and they can boost their chances of a return to the big stage by defeating Slovenia in Helsinki.

The Finns opened up their campaign with tough away trips to Denmark and Northern Ireland and can be reasonably pleased after following up a 3-1 loss in Copenhagen with a 1-0 success in Belfast.

Markku Kanerva's side were undone by a hat-trick from Rasmus Hojland in the Danish capital but their response against Northern Ireland was impressive.

Slovenia are the early sectional leaders after wins away to Kazakhstan and at home to San Marino, but the trip to Finland is where their campaign starts to get tougher.

The Slovenians took 56 minutes to break the deadlock against San Marino and their modest efforts in that game should encourage the Finns, who look a solid bet to win on home soil.

Friday, 7.45pm

Denmark's status as warm Group H favourites was shaken in March by a shock 3-2 loss away to Kazakhstan, but Kasper Hjulmand's side still look the outstanding team among the six and they can respond by defeating Northern Ireland at the Parken Stadion.

The Danes finished the World Cup on a bit of a downer after a group stage exit but it was only two years ago that they reached the semi-finals at Euro 2020.

Hjulmand's vastly-experienced squad features the class of Christian Eriksen and the precocious talent of 20-year-old Atalanta striker Hojland, who has netted five goals in his first four internationals.

The loss to Kazakhstan is unlikely to define Denmark's campaign and it could be Northern Ireland's misfortune to be on the wrong end of a backlash.

Northern Ireland followed a 2-0 win away to San Marino with a 1-0 loss at home to Finland, and their faint qualification hopes are likely to sustain further damage on Friday.

Friday, 7.45pm

Ukraine lost 2-0 away to England in their Euro 2024 qualifying opener but they were far from disgraced at Wembley, and can respond with a vital victory over North Macedonia in Skopje.

North Macedonia and Ukraine were housed in the same group at Euro 2020 with the Ukrainians registering a 2-1 victory back then.

Ukraine have lost just three of 18 games since their run to the last eight of that tournament and they achieved an eyecatching 3-3 draw away to Germany in a friendly last time out.

North Macedonia have slipped back over the last year, winning just two of six games, and they may taste defeat for the first time in the campaign.

Friday, 7.45pm

There were concerns about how Wales would respond after Gareth Bale's retirement, but they have taken four points from two Euro 2024 qualifiers and can sweep aside Armenia at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The Welsh opened up with a 1-1 draw away to Croatia before winning 1-0 at home to a stubborn Latvia.

And they should have no problems adding another three points against Armenia, who are lying second from bottom after a 2-1 defeat at home to Turkey.
