Gameweek 10 of the Premier League season has been notable with not one draw from the nine matches played so far.

Arsenal exhibited their title credentials with a 3-2 victory over Liverpool to keep hold of top spot, while second-placed Manchester City cruised to a 4-0 home win over Southampton.

Elsewhere, Chelsea earned three points in Graham Potter's first home league match in charge at Stamford Bridge.

There were plenty of fantasy points on offer with goals flying in across the division — we take a look at the best and worst performers of the weekend.

Gameweek 10 top performers

Joao Cancelo (Manchester City)

City's No9 Erling Haaland may have bagged his 15th league goal of the season in their win over Saints, but it was Portuguese full-back Joao Cancelo who impressed most for Pep Guardiola's side.

With the visitors weathering an early storm, it was Cancelo who broke the deadlock in the 20th minute with a left-footed drive having glided past James Ward-Prowse with a neat piece of skill.

Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez extended the Citizens' advantage before Cancelo exchanged a neat one-two with Kevin De Bruyne and served up a perfect cross for Haaland to tap home in the 65th minute to round off the scoring.

The 28-year-old earned 18 points in total to take his season tally to 61, rewarding the 53.3% of owners who picked the former Valencia and Juventus man.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Arsenal were able to maintain their one-point lead over City thanks to a narrow win at the Emirates and it was Bukayo Saka whose crucial brace secured the victory.

With the game tied at 1-1, a perfectly timed run to the back post in the final moments of the first half was rewarded with a tap in before Liverpool again equalised through Roberto Firmino.

But Saka struck the decisive blow in the 76th minute, coolly slotting home from the penalty spot to earn the 21-year-old attacker 15 fantasy points on another encouraging afternoon for the Gunners.

With games against Leeds, Southampton and Nottingham Forest next up for Mikel Arteta's men, owners may want to shoehorn the England international into their sides to make the most of the North Londoners' favourable run of fixtures.

Mason Mount (Chelsea)

Chelsea enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 home win over Wolves with a number of their academy graduates impressing, but Mason Mount was the standout performer.

Mount, 23, is yet to find the net for the Blues so far this term, but assisted twice on Saturday afternoon helping the West Londoners maintain their promising start to life under Potter.

His first decisive intervention was to drill a pinpoint cross on to the head of Kai Havertz who nodded over a stranded Jose Sa to open the scoring in first-half stoppage time.

And the England international played a pivotal role in the hosts' second, playing a smart reverse pass into the path of Christian Pulisic to double the advantage and further increase his fantasy tally before Armando Broja rounded off the scoring.

Gameweek 10 worst performers

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)

Another frustrating afternoon for Jurgen Klopp's side resulted in a disappointing return for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who failed to add to his season total of 24 points before hobbling off with an ankle injury at half-time.

Just 58 seconds into the defeat, the defender failed to cut out Martin Odegaard's through ball into Gabriel Martinelli who gave the hosts a flying start.

Despite Darwin Nunez's equaliser, Alexander-Arnold then failed to halt another Arsenal attack on the stroke of half-time, dashing to tackle Martinelli, who then easily laid on an assist for Saka to put the Gunners back in front.

The 24-year-old Reds star showed his class with a stunning free-kick in last week's Champions League victory over Rangers, but Sunday's trip to the Emirates was another step backwards for the England international.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Alexander-Arnold's Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah was also on target against the Gers but was subbed off after 69 minutes in North London having failed to impact the game.

Last season's Premier League Golden Boot joint-winner only has two strikes to his name this term and his haul of 45 fantasy points does not warrant his £12.7million price tag.

Salah is now five league games without a goal and with the Merseysiders next welcoming Manchester City to Anfield on Sunday, his lacklustre run may be set to continue.

The misfiring Reds now have only 10 points from eight games, and could fall even further off the pace unless their Egyptian star shines against City.

James Maddison (Leicester)

James Maddison failed to prevent Leicester sliding to a 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth.

Maddison stole the show in the Foxes' 4-0 win against Forest last time out, but he left the South Coast with a solitary fantasy point in a worrying setback for Brendan Rodgers' men.

The East Midlanders are well and truly embroiled in a relegation battle with just four points from nine league outings leaving the 2015-16 champions in 19th place.

Leicester next face winnable home encounters against Crystal Palace and Leeds and will need Maddison to quickly rediscover his magic touch.
