- Both teams have scored in Brighton’s last 15 league matches
- Sheffield United have lost nine of their 11 league games this season
- Recommended bet: Brighton to win & both teams to score

Sheffield United finally got off the mark in the Premier League last week with a home win over Wolves, but their travels since returning to the top-flight have provided little cause for celebration.

The Blades have not taken a point from their five road games this term and they face a difficult trip to Brighton, where the Seagulls have been strong and are boosted by their 2-0 win at Ajax in the Europa League on Thursday.

Team news

Seagulls manager Roberto De Zerbi has no fresh injury concerns, but is unable to call upon Solly March, Danny Welbeck, Lewis Dunk, James Milner, Pervis Estupinan and Jakub Moder.

The Blades will be hoping to have defender Anel Ahmedhodzic and striker Oli McBurnie available, while playmaker Gustavo Hamer has been nursing a tight hamstring.

The stats

Sheffield United have lost nine of their 11 Premier League games this season and conceded 14 goals in their five league away games this term.

Brighton have lost one of their last eight home league matches.

Both teams have scored in Brighton’s last 15 league games, while seven of the Seagulls' last nine outings have featured at least three goals.

Prediction

Sheffield United got their first win back in the Premier League with a controversial late Oliver Norwood penalty against Wolves last week, which should have given them a massive boost.

However, whether it is enough to see them to a win at Brighton is questionable, particularly as they have conceded 14 goals in five away league games this term.

There have been some bright signs in defeats as they pushed both Manchester clubs all the way and led at Tottenham into injury-time before falling to a 2-1 loss in London.

The problem is there have been other occasions when they have fallen apart, an 8-0 home loss to Newcastle and a 5-0 humbling at Arsenal in their last away game, so it is difficult to put much faith in them.

Brighton, meanwhile, have lost just two of their last 14 games at the Amex Stadium and should still be buzzing from a 2-0 victory at Ajax in the Europa League.

They have conceded in their last nine home league games though, so the Blades can score, even if the match ends in a tenth defeat of the campaign.
