West Brom have been knocked off the top of the Championship after a pair of defeats and won't want to head into the international break on the back of a hat-trick of losses.

The formbook suggests they can see off Millwall at The Hawthorns - but the Lions have torn that script up before.

Team news

Squad players Daryl Dike and Grady Diangana are expected to miss out for the Baggies.

Publicidad

Former Millwall favourite Jed Wallace was handed a start in Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat against Middlesbrough and is likely to make way for Tom Fellows.

Lions' boss Neil Harris is unlikely to make many changes with Billy Mitchell, Josh Coburn and Tom Bradshaw still injured.

Understudy striker Aidomo Emakhu is suspended and replacement centre-back Shaun Hutchinson a doubt. Femi Azeez and Ryan Wintle - the latter unavailable at parent club Cardiff on Tuesday - are pushing for starts.

The stats

West Brom's four home games this season have produced three goals.

The Baggies have won just one of their last 10 games against Millwall.

Publicidad

Millwall have drawn on their last three trips to The Hawthorns

Four of the last six meetings between the clubs at either venue have ended in draws.

There have seen under 2.5 goals in six of their last seven matches between these clubs in all competitions.

Neil Harris has made Millwall a team that are hard to beat and they have a good record at The Hawthorns

Prediction

West Brom have been rocked by back-to-back defeats at Sheffield Wednesday and at home to Middlesbrough, losses that have seen them drop down to fourth place in the Championship table.

Millwall, meanwhile, head to the West Midlands on the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat at bottom club Cardiff, a side who hadn't won a game before Tuesday evening.

That result alone should encourage West Brom to believe they can snap their mini losing streak, though Carlos Corberan is acutely aware of what a difficult opponent Millwall can be.

These clubs met twice last season, a season in which Millwall struggled against relegation while the Baggies made the play-offs, and both fixtures ended in draws.

Millwall are a tough, aggressive side under Neil Harris who are averaging more shots per game than West Brom and conceding fewer shots per game as well.

The 4/6 with LiveScore Bet that both teams don't score hints at a likely low scorer - none of West Brom's four home games this season has produced more than a single goal - and the less goals the greater the likelihood of the draw.
