Al-Hilal are planning to sign Bruno Fernandes in the summer after unsuccessfully bidding for him last month.

The Saudi Pro League side put in an astronomical offer for the Manchester United skipper in January, according to reports in Portugal.

But Fernandes turned down the move and is said to believe he has unfinished business at United and in one of Europe's elite leagues.

Al-Hilal are top of the table in Saudi Arabia, seven points clear of Cristiano Ronaldo's employers Al-Nassr.

Jorge Jesus' side also boast former Premier League aces Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves and Aleksandar Mitrovic in their side, while ex-Lazio maestro Sergej Milinkovic-Savic lines up in midfield.

Should the Portuguese international make the move this summer, he would also link up with Neymar, who has suffered a serious knee injury.

Fernandes has started more games than any other United outfielder this season, scoring seven goals and registering seven assists in 31 appearances.

And he will be vital in the Red Devils' attempt to break into the top four of the Premier League and win the FA Cup.

He will next be in action at Aston Villa on Sunday.
