The Racing League returns on Thursday with a six-race card at Newcastle.

The action begins at 6.05pm and we have picked out five horses for you to follow.

6.05pm - William Hill Pick You Places Racing League R31 (1m4½f)

A second career success arrived for SECOND SLIP when he scored over this C&D on his penultimate outing.

James Fanshawe's runner almost followed up on his latest appearance here but had to settle for second place.

The four-year-old has only gone up 1lb in the ratings for his recent effort so he remains off a workable mark. He is open to improvement and clearly enjoys it at this course.

6.35pm - William Hill Lengthen Your Odds Racing League R32 (1m2f)

In what was his first appearance since being gelded, ACE ROTHSTEIN looked a much better horse.

He also clearly appreciated the step up in trip.

By the time he hit the final furlong of that race at York (1m3½f), he was a long way clear of his rivals.

There is likely to be more to come from Michael's Bell's runner on just his second handicap appearance.

Michael Bell's Ace Rothstein is in action at Newcastle

He will need to overcome this 6lb penalty but is well in here as he will rise a further 4lb in the ratings in the future.

7.35pm - William Hill Play Responsibly Racing League R34 (3m2f)

BILLHILLY is bidding to complete a hat-trick of victories following a double at Lingfield last month.

On his latest effort, he prevailed on their turf course over their extended 7f trip by just over four lengths.

The in-form gelding is equally as effective on the AW surface.

He will carry a 5lb penalty but that should not be enough to stop him from landing his third straight success on the track.

8.05pm - William Hill Build Your Odds Racing League R35 (6f)

A first win on the AW came over this C&D for STRIKE RED on his penultimate outing.

He did not get a clear run in the latter stages of that sprint contest, but it did not prevent him from getting up by a small margin.

Richard Fahey's runner once again hit traffic problems in his race last time out at Lingfield (6f) when he made eye-catching late progress to finish less than two lengths behind the winner.

Richard Fahey is looking for another win at Newcastle with Strike Red

Off the same mark as that run, he should be in with a great chance in this race.

8.35pm - William Hill Double Your Odds Racing League R36 (3m2f)

In all seven of ELECTRIC LOVE's seven appearances, she has only once failed to hit the frame and is a consistent filly who may not have stop developing just yet.

Tom Clover's runner has been beaten by less than two lengths on her last two appearances.

Regular jockey Laura Pearson will be doing all she can to ensure her runner makes a better start than she has been doing recently and if she gets out of the stalls well, could take some stopping here.
