Leicester vs Norwich predictions: Canaries to soar past crumbling Foxes
- The Foxes have lost four of their last six in the league
- The Canaries have lost just one of their last 10, winning seven
- Recommended bet: Norwich to win and both teams to score
Leicester dropped out of the automatic promotion places for the first time since September after losing to Bristol City on Friday.
Their collapse could be further compounded when they host a Norwich side that has shot into the play-off positions after four wins from their last five.
Team news
Enzo Maresca's squad has suffered from injuries and suspensions, but the return of Manchester City loanee Callum Doyle will be an asset. The defender missed their most recent defeat through his red card at Chelsea in the FA Cup.
The trio of Tom Cannon, Kasey McAteer and Ben Nelson remain in the treatment room and will miss Monday's game, but the likes of Patson Daka, Dennis Praet and Kelechi Iheanacho will be pushing for returns to the starting line-up.
Norwich manager David Wagner must also deal with a number of injury issues plaguing his squad. Jonathan Rowe and Dimitris Giannoulis are missing with hamstring problems, while Onel Hernandez will not play again this season.
Sam McCallum is expected to come in at left-back for Giannoulis, while American striker Josh Sargent will likely lead the line for the Canaries after netting against Plymouth last time out.
The stats
- Leicester claimed all three points in the reverse fixture at Carrow Road in a 2-0 victory.
- The Foxes have lost their last two at the King Power by the same scoreline (2-1).
- Three players for both Leicester and Norwich have registered at least 10 Championship goals this season, more than any other club besides Leeds.
- Only Leeds and Ipswich have picked up more points over their last 10 games than Norwich.
- Six of Norwich's last 10 in all competitions have seen both teams find the net.
- The Canaries have scored 12 goals over their last five league matches; only Ipswich have scored more.
Prediction
At the beginning of February, Leicester looked to be strolling not only to promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking but also to the Championship title, but both of these goals are now in serious jeopardy.
With rivals Leeds and Ipswich continuing to impress, the Foxes can hardly afford any more slip-ups, yet Norwich could prove too difficult a challenge, especially with the Canaries looking to keep a strong hold on their play-off position.
Five of Leicester's last six home matches in the league have seen both teams find the back of the net, while the same is true of four of Norwich's last five on the road in all competitions and there should be joy for both sets of fans in this one.
However, the Canaries have had an impressive 2024 with just three defeats from 17 in all competitions and could heap further misery on Maresca's men by claiming their fourth successive victory.
