There are four meetings taking place in the UK on Monday on what is a busy start to the new week.

One of them is a jumps card from Kempton and it features a Listed hurdles contest for mares.

With the dry conditions continuing up and down the country, the official ground heading into the meeting is described as 'Good'.

We have picked five horses for you to follow.

12.40pm - EBF Stallions "National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle (2m)

Bumper winner CALL OF THE WILD came close to an opening success over hurdles at Stratford over their extended 2m trip but he was denied by less than a length.

The horse that beat him has come out and won again since, so that form has worked out well.

Alan King's runner has just two rivals to see off here.

If it was not for a mistake at the last hurdle last time out, he may not still be a maiden. This looks a good chance for him to go one place better.

LiveScore selection: Call Of The Wild

1.15pm - Racing TV Novices' Chase (2m2f)

SEBASTOPOL has finished second in each of his last seven runs. He just keeps finding one horse better than him on the day.

Publicidad

There was no disgrace in finishing runner-up on his last outing as he chased home Third Time Lucki in a Grade Two contest at Cheltenham.

A repeat of his latest effort should see the seven-year-old gelding get off the mark over fences at the third time of asking.

LiveScore selection: Sebastopol

1.50pm - Racing TV Mares' Hurdle (3m½f - Listed)

This is the feature race on the card at Kempton and it's not often we see Willie Mullins bring over a runner to these shores on a Monday.

He saddles MY SISTER SARAH, a horse who has been running on the Flat over the summer.

She finished fifth in the Grade One Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March. and is taking a big step down in class here. It is unlikely to be a wasted trip for the Irish raider.

LiveScore Selection: My Sister Sarah

2.25pm - racingtv.com Handicap Chase (2m4½f)

Mercian Prince was a winner last time over fences

C&D winner MERCIAN PRINCE has been switching between hurdles and fences over the last 12 months and he has had success over both obstacles, scoring over fences here on his penultimate outing.

He has gone up just 2lb since that run which makes this a winnable opportunity.

Amy Murphy's runner was a long way behind the winner on his last appearance over hurdles at Fontwell (2m1½f). Chasing seems to be his strongest suit, as his record suggests.

LiveScore selection: Mercian Prince

2.55pm - Wise Betting @racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle (3m½f)

With two wins from his opening three starts, it has been an excellent start to the season for KHAN

He was only a length behind the winner at Exeter (2m7f) on his sole defeat.

This latest mark of 113 is obviously a tougher challenge for the horse from Milton Harris' yard, however, he remains 2lb lower than his career best.

He is in great form and can continue that in this handicap hurdle contest.

LiveScore selection: Khan
