Two gameweeks have been and gone in the Premier League and any doubts about who should be targeted for Fantasy teams are beginning to be ironed out.

The cream is already rising to the top and there are plenty of players who have picked up from where they left off last term and established themselves as must-haves in FPL.

We have picked out five top players for your team ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.

Erling Haaland, Man City (Forward)

The price-setters at FPL caused a stir when placing Erling Haaland at a record-breaking £15m mark at the start of the campaign and many people opted against picking the back-to-back Golden Boot winner as a result.

However, the Norwegian has opened the campaign with four goals in two matches and finding the extra funds to fit him into your team is now a must if you are to keep up with the leaders.

Manchester City are facing West Ham this weekend and given Haaland has four goals in as many appearances against the Hammers, it is worth bringing him into your side this week.

Cole Palmer, Chelsea (Midfielder)

Another player who many avoided when drafting their teams due to a substantial price rise is Cole Palmer, but he, like Haaland, has shown exactly why that value-hike was needed.

The England star scored once and assisted three goals in Chelsea’s 6-2 rout of Wolves on Sunday and he could continue that fine form against Crystal Palace, who have lost their opening two league games of the season.

Morgan Gibbs-White, Nottingham Forest (Midfielder)

No Premier League side has shipped more league goals than Wolves’ eight this term so it could pay to load your team with Nottingham Forest stars ahead of this weekend.

Chris Wood is a good option up front but Morgan Gibbs-White is the standout pick having netted the winner for Forest last weekend.

The midfielder scored in this fixture last term and could cause plenty of issues for his leaky former club once again.

Chris Wood may tempt a few given Wolves' defensive issues so far, but preference goes to Morgan Gibbs-White

Marcos Senesi, Defender (Bournemouth)

Another side who have struggled early on are Everton, who have lost both of their matches to nil.

The fact the Toffees have yet to score this term and have looked so toothless going forward means opting for a Bournemouth defender could be a smart play, with Marcos Senesi the pick of the bunch.

The Argentinian defender could be set for a clean sheet bonus against Everton while he is also capable of chipping in at the other end, notching four goals and five assists in 31 Premier League matches last term.

Alexander Isak, Newcastle (Forward)

Alexander Isak has been transferred out by over 480,000 FPL users ahead of Gameweek 3, the most of any player in the game, but that may be a bit of an oversight.

The Swedish forward has yet to find the form that saw him net score 21 goals last season, but a match against a side he loves to face could see him rediscover his scoring touch.

Newcastle have scored 10 goals in their last two home matches against Spurs and Isak himself has four in three appearances versus the Lilywhites, so it may be worth keeping him in your teams for at least one more week.

Captain pick - Erling Haaland

It is likely that, following his hat-trick, Haaland will be most people's captain this week, especially as he is facing a side against whom he has netted four goals in as many appearances.

Stick with the Norwegian if you are unwilling to lose ground in your mini leagues but if it is differential you are looking for then Palmer could be the captain pick for you.
