With squad rotation expected in many FA Cup third round ties, we focus on league action from across the continent to pick out five goalscorers to watch out for this weekend.

After a regression to a 13th-place finish last season, Mainz are enjoying a fantastic return to form and head into Bundesliga gameweek 16 fifth in the table and knowing that victory over rock-bottom Bochum could send them into the top three.

Jonathan Burkardt’s heroics have played a major role in Die Nullfunfer’s success, with 10 goals scored in 14 appearances already bettering his season tally from last year.

The 24-year-old netted against Wolfsburg at the start of December and returns from the winter break having notched five in his last five.

He scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Bochum in March and will be chomping at the bit to get at a defence that have conceded 21 goals away from home this season.

Third-placed Dundee United make the trip west to face a St Mirren side on a three-game losing streak and Scottish Premiership top scorer Sam Dalby could strike again at the SMISA Stadium.

The 25-year-old Terrors loan striker has notched ten times in 19 appearances this season and six of those have come on his travels.

He has recorded the fourth-most shots on target in the division this term and netted an 88th-minute winner in the Dundee derby in his last away game, meaning he has now scored in nine of his last 14 starts for the club.

Sevilla and Valencia have both suffered disappointing first halves to the season, but Los Nervionenses have looked a different side at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and should have the beating of second-bottom Valencia.

Belgium international Dodi Lukebakio has scored 40 per cent of his side’s goals this term and his consolation at the Bernabeu in their last match made it three goals in his last four outings.

With Los Che winless on the road since April, Lukebakio will fancy his chances on Saturday.

Inter Milan’s Serie A title defence resumes on Sunday following their Super Cup defeat on Monday and Marcus Thuram will be targeting a 13th league goal of the season.

The 27-year-old is joint top of the scoring charts in Italy and would match last season’s league tally with a goal against second-bottom Venezia.

Thuram’s goal against Como before Christmas leaves him with five goals and one assist from his last five Serie A appearances, so expect him to be a threat.

Seven points clear at the top of Ligue 1 and unbeaten in the league, PSG are hot favourites against 15th-placed Saint-Etienne and Ousmane Dembele could continue his purple patch in Paris.

The France international has eight goals in 15 Ligue 1 appearances this term and his winner against Monaco last time out made it four in his last four in all competitions, so he can punish the struggling visitors.
