Juventus are Italy's most successful club, with some of football's most iconic names winning countless trophies over the years.

But their past and present are also littered with struggle and scandal, meaning they have a catalogue of players who did not hit the same heights while in Turin.

Here 10 names you probably forgot represented the Old Lady.

Nicolas Anelka (2013)

Well-travelled French striker Nicolas Anelka's stint in Italy with Juventus was short and anything but sweet.

The former Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain hotshot described his 2013 loan move as his "worst experience in football" after playing just 55 minutes across three games.

Ciro Immobile (2008-2012)

Ciro Immobile fleeted around a number of different destinations before he finally found a home at Lazio — with one of the first of those being Juve.

The Italy international failed to make the grade as a youngster but has gone on to score an incredible 203 goals in 317 games since his switch to the capital in 2016.

Olof Mellberg (2008-2009)

Premier League fans will remember Olof Mellberg for his long career for Aston Villa but the bearded Swede also briefly turned out for the Old Lady after leaving the West Midlands.

The 117-cap former international spent a year in Serie A before spells with Olympiacos, Villarreal and FC Copenhagen.

Paolo Di Canio (1990-1993)

Paolo Di Canio was at Juventus early on in his career

A true legend of both Italian and English football, Juventus is one of the few places it did not work out for Paolo Di Canio.

The maverick forward spent three years at the club but struggled for game time behind Roberto Baggio and Co and left for Napoli following a falling out with manager Giovanni Trapattoni.

Neto (2015-17)

Brazilian goalkeeper Neto's intriguing career saw him spend two years as Gianluigi Buffon's back-up between in 2015 and 2017.

The stopper later moved to Valencia and Barcelona — and is now earning plenty of plaudits between the sticks for Bournemouth at the age of 34.

Nicklas Bendtner (2012-2013)

Nicklas Bendtner's loan move to Juventus from Arsenal did not ignite his career in the way he had hoped.

'Lord Bendtner' finished the campaign with just 11 appearances, zero goals and an arrest for drink driving, with his temporary move unsurprisingly not made permanent.

Joao Cancelo (2018-2019)

Versatile full-back Joao Cancelo signed a five-year contract with Juventus in 2018 but moved to Manchester City just 12 months later.

The Portuguese won the Scudetto during that campaign before adding a host more trophies during his time with City and a loan move to Bayern Munich.

He will hope to claim more silverware during his loan spell with Barcelona this term.

Lucio (2012)

Brazilian World Cup winner Lucio's move to Juventus from Inter Milan can only be described as a failure.

Having lifted the Champions League during his time at the San Siro, the decorated centre-back made just one Serie A appearance for the Old Lady before returning to his native country a year later.

Stephy Mavididi (2018-2020)

Stephy Mavididi's first club abroad was Juventus

English forward Stephy Mavididi is now lighting up the Championship with leaders Leicester after a prolific spell with Montpellier.

But prior to his move to France, Mavididi was picked up by Juve from Arsenal's youth academy, becoming the club's first English player since David Platt with his solitary appearance.

Cristian Romero (2019-2021)

Juve perhaps regret the decision to let Cristian Romero leave for Atalanta in 2020 after not giving him a chance in the first team.

The hot-headed centre-back has since become a key figure for Tottenham in the Premier League and starred as Argentina became world champions in Qatar last year.
